Each year our parent organization the Apereo Foundation holds an annual conference where Teachers, Learners, and Technologists come together as a community to celebrate the tools we build and use together.

The conference (formerly known as the Sakai/Jasig conference) is held in a different location each year.

OPEN APEREO 2017 (June 4 - June 7) will be held at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.

This conference is designed to be an international, inclusive event, providing opportunities for community members to:

  • Present perspectives based on institutional experience, access the experience of others, exchange ideas, develop dialogue and form new partnerships.
  • Develop an understanding of other areas of the academic enterprise by looking outside of immediate interest areas and contributing to the understanding of commonalities as well as contrasts.
  • Organize community-wide, project-based, or institutional discussion, dialogue and practical collaborative work.

Mark your calendars and join us this year to share your success stories at our Open Apereo 2017 conference in Philadelphia.

The conference is the absolute best way to learn more about the Sakai community and to get to know people from other Sakai adopter institutions.

Visit the Conference website for registration information and schedule of events.
