Campus Technology article "Moving to an Open Source LMS: 3 Stories"

Good article in today's Campus Technology (04/07/10) by Linda L Briggs looking at the adoption of Sakai by smaller schools who wanted to move from their proprietary LMS.

"With open source learning management systems offering an increasingly rich slate of features and add-ons, more schools are considering a move. Smaller colleges and universities, which may hesitate owing to concerns over support, often turn to third-party companies for help."

Cited are Mt. Holyoke's rapid move from WebCT to Sakai and Washington and Lee University's move from Blackboard to Sakai with the help of Sakai Commercial Affiliate, Longsight.
